1. Lean your back against a wall with your knees bent, your feet slightly more than shoulders’ width apart.

2. Place your shoulders firmly against the wall.

3. Press your palms into the wall for support.

4. Engage your lower abs, curling and lifting your hips forward and up, and repeatedly and rhythmically drop your hips back down, without arching your back, as if using your sacrum (tailbone) to drive a nail into the wall behind you.

5. Practice dropping your sacrum against the wall on the beat to a rhythmic count of four. Then try emphasizing every other beat:hard on one, easy on two, hard on three, easy on four, and so on. Remember to always maintain a forward pelvic tilt, coming to a neutral hip placement when you push back against the wall.Continue until you become fatigued.
